Window cleaning

This service gives you a clear view and more light in your home — regularly, for example in spring and autumn, or as a one-off for a special occasion.

Tip on the number of hours: This service is booked by the hour. As a guideline: an experienced cleaner manages about 5–6 standard windows per hour (inside and out). Skylights, lattice windows, and large glass fronts take more time — it's best to mention any special features right away in your request.

Typically included:

• Streak-free cleaning of window panes inside and out
• Wiping down frames
• Cleaning window sills inside and outside
• Glass doors (e.g. balcony and patio doors)
• Mirrors and glass surfaces in living areas (by arrangement)

Typically not included:

• Hard-to-reach glazing without safe access (e.g. skylights at height, glass roofs, conservatory roof glazing, facade glazing)
• Roller shutters, blinds, and insect screens (only by individual arrangement with the provider)
• Removing construction dust, paint, or adhesive residue (post-construction or renovation cleaning)

How to prepare for the appointment:

• Clear the window sills and provide access to all windows
• State the number of windows and any special features (skylights, lattice windows, floor-to-ceiling windows, upper floors)
• Make water and power connections accessible
• Point out delicate frames and materials (e.g. wooden frames)

To clarify directly with the provider:

• Cleaning inside and out, or inside only?
• Are rebates/grooves and insect screens included?
• Access to upper windows — is a ladder available, or does the provider bring one?
• Handling of rescheduling, for example in case of rain or frost
• The provider's liability insurance
• Billing via the relief amount (§ 45a SGB XI) — possible with providers recognised under state law
